IS IT POSSIBLE FOR A KEYBOARD STUDENT TO LEARN ALL ABOUT COMPUTER AND ELECTRONIC MUSIC IN THEIR PIANO LESSONS?
Adult students may study MIDI, computer and electronic music in place of, or in addition to, their regular piano or keyboard lessons.
However, parents of young students who are interested in signing up for computer music lessons exclusively should first consult with the teacher. This is because much of a student’s success in a computer music studio is dependent upon their keyboard proficiency and musical understanding, which, for students of grade school age, is most often best learned in regular piano or keyboard lessons.
