WHY DO ADVANCED LEVEL PIANISTS SEEK THE HELP OF A TEACHER?
Piano or keyboard students who already possess highly developed skills study with a teacher for a variety of reasons. Often advanced students seek out a teacher as a mentor because they are:
- Talented keyboard players and composers desiring structured learning.
- Gifted students who’d like guidance and motivation to complete a large project, like a CD or recital.
- Piano teachers who study with a colleague to update their skills, gain a fresh perspective, or learn a different way of accomplishing the same tasks.
- Performers who'd like to learn more efficient practice techniques and how to apply them to their own unique style of playing.
- Composers who'd like to learn more about a particular aspect of their work, such as the development of musical forms, styles, or harmony, or music production using a computer.
